Anyone Can Be A Rich Lawyer

A Law Firm is about making money, and anyone can make money; hence, anyone can be a rich lawyer.

There is a lie, that only some people can make money. That only some people can become rich lawyers.

This is a lie straight from hell.

Anyone can choose to be a rich lawyer. in a law firm, just like in life, ‘the choice is mine.’

Alicia Keys once noted where she grew up, there was education and career development on one side, and drugs and street gangs on the other side;

‘You can choose to go this way, or that way. The choice is yours.’

Anyone can be a rich lawyer. There are women who are rich lawyers and there are men who are rich lawyers. There are single parents who are rich lawyers, and married people who are rich lawyers. There are thin people who are rich lawyers, and fat people who are rich lawyers. Indeed, there are professionals, be they lawyers, teachers, or engineers, who are rich lawyers, and people with no professional qualification that are also rich lawyers. Yes, there are black people who are rich lawyers, and white people who are rich lawyers. Indeed, amongst the residents of a particular town, city or village, there are rich lawyers. All these confirm one important truth; ANYONE CAN BE A RICH LAWYER!

The critical ingredient is getting off my butt and doing something. It's as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer. As noted by Oliver Wendell Holmes:

Like in every aspect of my life, A Law Firm is my decision; my personal decision. My purpose is what I say it is. My mission is what I choose to do. My vision is the picture I choose to see. ‘My life is in my hands.’  Peter F. Drucker, the management guru, once wrote,

"Wherever you see a successful law firm, someone once made a courageous decision."

In essence, the vision is,

‘the image of what success would look like’

‘Alexander the Great, the undefeated Greek King and one of the most successful commanders of all time, candidly said,

‘I am the master of my fate and the captain of my ship.’

At anytime, even now, I can decide to alter the course of my life. No one can take that away from me. I control my destiny. I do not have to work on a particular job. I do not have to buy from anyone. I do not have to participate in any relationship. I can choose. The choice is mine. The next move is mine. Deno wrote,

It is always my next move’,

I am the one to decide, and I need to decide to be a rich lawyer. This decision will make me succeed. This decision should be made out of passion, a great desire. Napoleon Hill rightly noted,

‘the beginning of every great success is great desire.’

Donald Trump put it this way,

If you don't have passion, you don't have energy, and if you don't have energy, you have nothing.’

Muhammad Ali, the boxing legend, and three-time World Heavyweight Champion, confessed,

‘Champions are not made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them a desire to succeed.’

Indeed, Benjamin Disraeli, the British Prime Minister, parliamentarian, statesman and literary figure, noted,

‘man is only great when he acts from passion.’

And E. M. Forster, the English novelist, short story writer, essayist and librettist, agreed with him when he stated,

‘one person with passion is better than forty people merely interested.’

If I am going to succeed as a rich lawyer, I must have passion. A LOT OF PASSION!
